Move Young Live Young 90-Day Program

  • Workout 37

Balance

Your sense of balance relies on the relationship between your central nervous system (brain) and your sensory system.

In this workout, we train the following:

Your vision: Your eyes send your brain impulses that show where your body is in relation to other objects.

Your skin, joints, and muscles: When your body moves, it puts pressure on your tissues. Your tissues send signals to your brain, telling it where your body is in relation to space. For example, if you’re standing up and leaning back, you put pressure on tissues in the back of your foot and lower leg. That pressure lets your brain know you’re leaning instead of standing straight.

The helicopter spins help to deepen the connection to the central nervous system to help you to maintain balance and manage dizziness.

Enjoy the therapy!

Hello, AgeDEFY community! I am flying from Tampa to Denver right now, returning from my half marathon, and finally getting to catch up on all things AgeDEFY. I apologize for falling behind last week on posting the daily workouts. When I got to Tampa for my race, I experienced a bad 24-hour flu bug. I wasn't sure I could run my race, but somehow, I pulled it off. I tried to keep up with posting, but being sick on vacation threw me off. But now, I'm done with the race and feeling much better, so I'm back to work and all caught up! The Move Young Live Young 90-Day program is back on track, and everyone has access to workouts 34-36. Each workout is less than 30 minutes, and each one will lift your mood and leave you feeling good! Please enjoy the therapy!

Workout 34: SculptFLOW Back and Biceps Movement Therapy

Workout 35: BarreFLOW: Move Your Body to Lift Your Mood

Good job Cyndi. Keep making small adjustments to keep moving and grooving. I got behind on posting workout 34 and 35 last week but the workouts are now posted. I think you might struggle with workout 34 but you got this! Keep making the adjustments to keep your body moving!

Move Young Live Young 90-Day Program

Workout 31

Today's workout is from last year's movement therapy book club, where we read The Four Agreements. I'm sharing a 25-minute edit from week two of the book club for today's workout. It's a good one, and I think you'll love it!

Don't take anything personally:

Nothing can stick to you when you can open your chest, expand your ribs, and harmoniously engage your back muscles. The way other people treat you has nothing to do with you.

Enjoy the therapy!
